Translation & Copywriting

I am a translator and copywriter in English and Swedish. I have at least 13 years of experience in the fields from employment (8+1 years) or self-employment (4 years), where I worked as a copywriter or had the function as one. Though I am an autodidact copywriter and journalist, I did  read some related courses at university level and business school level. I am a journalist, translator and photographer through work-experience with solid references, in all fields. These professions I have embraced and owned, through natural talent, strong passion and many years of hard work and fascination for the fields. I consider them callings as I do this kind of work with ease and highest possible work pleasure, speed and competence.

[Copywriting] is the use of words and ideas to promote a personbusinessopinion or idea. Although the word copy may be applied to any content intended for printing (as in the body of a newspaper article or book), the term copywriter is generally limited to promotional situations, regardless of the medium (as in advertisements for print, televisionradio or other media). The word copywriting is regularly used as a noun or gerund.

The purpose of marketing copy, or promotional text, is to persuade the reader, listener or viewer to act—for example, to buy a product or subscribe to a certain viewpoint.

Copywriters (as writers of copy are called) are used to help create direct mail pieces, taglines, jingle lyricsweb page content (although if the purpose is not ultimately promotional, its author might prefer to be called a content writer), online ads, e-mail and other Internet content, television or radio commercial scriptspress releaseswhite paperscatalogs,billboards, brochures, postcards, sales letters, and other marketing communications media. Content writing on websites may include among its objectives the achievement of higher rankings in search engines.
